Let us introduce ourselves.
I'm Ina, founder & lead floral designer of BLOOMIE, a boutique studio based in Hoboken, NJ.
My passion for flowers started all the way in my childhood, when I was helping my dad take care of his garden. He had flowers for every season so I grew up surrounded by beautiful blooms. However, after graduating, I pursued a career in Marketing and only after 7 years of corporate jobs I decided it was time for a change. Next step was to leave my beautiful country Moldova and move to the United States. First, I landed in New York City, where Bloomie was born out of a simple desire of career change and to do what I really love. I was making my first bouquets out of a small apartment and hand-delivering them to every customer. It was the purest joy to see their smiles and happiness, so I kept going. |
2 years later, at the beginning of 2020, I opened a brick & mortar studio space in the small & cozy Hoboken where our talented team works hard every day to create artisan bouquets for local people! That year was probably the most challenging one for all small businesses, but luckily we survived the pandemic and were even able to acquire so many loyal customers and incredible friends. We love seeing familiar faces coming in regularly and be their go-to florist for all their floral needs.
While we pour love and affection into our floral arrangements, we also make an effort to pour love back into the environment. It provides us with the beautiful flowers we use everyday, and because of this, we recognize the importance of a sustainable approach to floral design. We have instilled practices from the beginning that aligned with both environmental and human health. Sourcing locally, composting regularly, and avoiding the use of foam are just some of the ways that Bloomie consciously practices sustainability. Today, we are proud to say that we are a sustainable flower studio, offering a better option to our customers both for their homes and their conscience. |
